Randolph Rescue Squad

The Randolph Rescue Squad (RRS) is an all-volunteer organization funded largely by donations received from the residents of Randolph. With a dedicated team of thirty active volunteers, the squad provides the township and its surrounding communities with basic life support services Monday through Friday, from 6:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. and round-the-clock on weekends and holidays. Additionally, the volunteer squad often provides back-up services during the weekday hours covered by the township’s contract with Atlantic Health Systems. The rescue squad is a member of the New Jersey State First Aid Council.

The squad provides transport services to local hospitals and standby services at fire calls and various community events. Its fleet includes four ambulances, a rescue truck and a first response vehicle, all of which are maintained and housed at the squad’s four locations throughout the township.

Members are highly-trained and the squad includes both national- and state-registered Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) as well as those certified in CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) for the Professional Rescuer. All necessary training is provided to volunteers free of charge, with most training occurring during off-duty hours.
